Users fees:
A. The
facility will not charge user
fees to faculty, students or associates
of Appalachian. The goal is to encourage and facilitate use of the
facility. Major users of the facility are encouraged to support
the facility as outlined in Item C below.
B.
Corporate
users will be charged a user fee at the rate of $30.00 per hour.
C.
When
primary users of the facility seek external funding to support projects
in which the Microscopy Facility
is used, they are expected to request
support at the level of $15 per hour. Successful grants will
transfer
the amount requested for Microscopy Facility support
in a
one-time block to the facilities account. Access
to the facility
will not be based on success of external funding or level of support.

Director will coordinate with the Sponsored Programs Office to ensure
that all new proposals that
call for use of the Facility to include a
request for this support.
Access to
Facility:

students and staff will be encouraged to use the facility for research,
teaching and service. Access to the facility may be restricted or
